Urban Renewal in Floridsdorf – GB*21

The team of tilia and the Eventagentur Stefan Ohmacht works as GB*21 - Gebietsbetreuung Stadterneuerung in the centre of Floridsdorf. This city district of Vienna is undergoing rapid changes due to current urban renewal processes. The GB *21 offers information and advice for the local people concerning their living conditions in the flats, houses and in the neighbourhoods.

The services reach from legal advice to accomodation and renovation questions, to support of the renewal of courtyards, to information on changes in the city quarter and activities to support the communication of the local community.

The interdisciplinary team covers the fields of landscape architecture, architecture, spatial planning and community work. To strengthen the centre of Floridsdorf and its neighbourhoods, the GB*21 searches to cooperate with local actors.

The work of tilia within the GB*21 focuses on the improvement of public space on a strategic and a practical level and on the development of community projects such as edible city or community gardening.
